Jade Engineering is a mobile agricultural engineering and welding business based at 155 Waitotara Valley Road, Waitotara. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020. Last updated 29 July 2026.

If you send an enquiry through the form on this site, we collect the details you put into it: your name, your email address, your phone number, the type of work you have picked, your town or farm, your message, and any photos or files you choose to attach.

You do not have to use the form. Ringing Dan on 0274 271 030 works just as well, and nothing about that call is recorded on this website.

Our web server also keeps ordinary technical logs, the same as any website: the pages requested, the time, and the network address they came from. Those keep the site running and secure. They are not used to build a profile of you.

We use what you send for one thing: to answer your enquiry and to do the work you are asking about. That means reading your message, ringing or emailing you back, quoting the job, and keeping enough of a record to pick the conversation up again later.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send you marketing you did not ask for.

Your enquiry is stored on this website and emailed to Dan. A copy also goes to Vander Studio, the agency that built and looks after this website, so a broken form or a lost email can be found and fixed. They do not use your details for anything else.

The email is delivered by Resend, an email service provider. The form is protected from spam robots by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the submission is coming from a person; that check happens on Cloudflare rather than on our site.

Beyond those, we do not pass your information to anyone unless you ask us to, or unless the law requires it.

This site does not run advertising trackers, and no analytics or advertising tags are in use on it at the time of writing. If that changes, this page will be updated to say what is running and why.

The reviews shown on this site are the public reviews from Jade Engineering’s Google Business Profile. We read them from Google. Nothing about you is collected when they are displayed.

We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful for the job and for our ordinary business records, and we delete them when they are not. If you would rather we removed yours sooner, say so and we will.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Email dan@jadeengineering.co.nz or ring 0274 271 030 and we will sort it out.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
